What makes a person a leader?

Or perhaps the ability not to betray one’s values when doing so is most difficult?

This is what we will discuss during the next webinar of the “Youth for the Future of Ukraine” project.

Our guest is Myroslav Marynovych.

A Ukrainian human rights defender, dissident, one of the founders of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, former political prisoner of the Soviet camps, public intellectual, scholar of religion, Honorary President of Ukrainian PEN, and long-serving Vice-Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University. His life is the story of a person who has repeatedly demonstrated that genuine leadership is born where a person remains faithful to freedom, dignity, and truth, even when the price is high.

What Will We Discuss?

Not how to become a manager.

But how not to lose oneself.

Where does a person find strength amid uncertainty? Why do some give up while others continue to act? How is trust born—the kind of trust that brings communities together? And why does Ukraine today need not only professionals, but also people with inner integrity?

This will be a conversation about responsibility, freedom, belief in one’s own abilities, and the sources from which genuine leadership grows.

It is intended not only for those who already lead teams or civic initiatives.

It is for everyone who wants to understand how to remain a person capable of inspiring others even in times of great trials.
