Молодь за майбутнє України

Webinar “Who Are We After Everything We Have Been Through? Identity, Values, and the Inner Resilience of Ukrainians”

Friends, today, August 11 at 3:00 p.m., we invite you to another webinar of the “Youth for the Future of Ukraine” project.

This time, we propose talking about something that perhaps shapes our future more than anything else, yet is something we do not always consciously reflect on: who are we after everything that has happened to us?

War changes not only cities, borders, and society. It changes people — our sense of self, our understanding of home, belonging, justice, and the future. What once seemed self-evident may now require us to rethink it.

What sustains a person when the familiar world collapses? Can identity be not only an answer to the question “Who am I?” but also a source of inner resilience? What values help us not to lose ourselves under the pressure of collective trauma? And how is personal experience connected to our shared cultural memory?

🎙 Our guest is Nataliia Kryvda — Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Philosophy and Culture at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, a contemporary Ukrainian philosopher and public intellectual. She is a specialist in the history of culture, mythology, issues of identity, and cultural memory. Chair of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

💬 This will be a conversation not only about philosophical concepts, but about ourselves — about what helps a person remain themselves when everything around them is changing, and how the experience of trauma can give rise not only to pain, but also to new inner strength.
